Iron is one of the most important minerals! It is involved in various bodily functions, such as making haemoglobin in red blood cells, which transports oxygen from the lungs throughout the body. It can be found in red meat, poultry and seafood but also in plant foods such as firm tofu and pumpkin seeds. Nevertheless, animal-based sources of iron (Haem iron) is absorbed more effectively than non-haem iron which can lead to iron deficiency in people with vegetarian or vegan diets. In general, women need about twice as much iron as men to replace the amount lost in blood during menstruation. Formulated with vitamin C and spirulina, an algae rich in iron, Herbs of Gold Organic Iron MAX supports the absorption of dietary iron.

Herbs of Gold Organic Iron MAX has created this once-a-day iron supplement to prevent dietary iron deficiency. The formula contains Ferrochel® (ferrous bisglycinate), an organic form of iron that is highly bioavailable and gentle on the digestive system as well as folic acid, vitamins B2 and B12. This combination of nutrients maintains haemoglobin formation and assists healthy red blood cell production to support blood health. Iron and vitamin B12 are also known to support the transport of oxygen in the body, making this formula a great everyday supplement for overall health.
New Formulation - Each capsule contains:
- Iron amino acid chelate (Ferrochel™) equiv. iron: 24mg
- Thiamine hydrochloride: 12.7mg, equiv. Thiamine (vitamin B1) 10mg.
- Riboflavin (vitamin B2): 10mg.
- Pyridoxine hydrochloride: 12.2mg., equiv. Pyridoxine (vitamin B6) 10mg.
- Levomefolate glucosamine (Quatrefolic®): .376 micrograms, equiv. Levomefolic acid (5-MTHF) 200 micrograms.
- Mecobalamin (co-methylcobalamin)(vitamin B12): 200 micrograms.
- Calcium ascorbate dihydrate: 304.3mg, equiv. ascorbic acid (vitamin C) 250mg.
- Arthrospira maxima (Spirulina) powder: 100mg.
- Spinacia oleracea (Spinach) leaf powder: 25mg.

- Spinacia oleracea (Spinach) whole plant powder: 25mg.
Vegan friendly. Does not contain egg, milk, peanut, soy, tree nuts, animal products, gluten, lactose or artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
- Adults and children over 12 years: Take 1 capsule daily, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
