Activate your body with Herbs of Gold Activated Folate 500. Each capsule contains Quatrafolic®, a glucosamine salt providing 500mcg 5-MTHF, the metabolically active form of folate. Folate (vitamin B9) is one of the 13 essential vitamins your body needs to stay active and to function properly.

5-MTHF does not only support women during their pregnancy but people with lower activity of the MTHFR enzyme, intestinal or liver dysfunction, or individuals whose genetic makeup makes it difficult to convert folic acid into active 5-MTHF. It’s a good alternative to folic acid supplementation as it does not mask vitamin B12 deficiency symptoms. It also regulates a class of neurotransmitters and it contributes to the production of serotonin, melatonin, epinephrine, and norepinephrine, and pleasure hormones, and can support healthy mood. Herbs of Gold Activated Folate 500 supports brain health, cognitive function and memory as well as cardiovascular health by reducing homocysteine levels in the body. It also assists red blood cell production, the creation of neurotransmitters and fetal development. Each capsule contains:
- Levomefolate glucosamine (Quatrefolic®) (equiv. Levomefolic acid (5-MTHF) 500 micrograms): 1.052mg.

- Adults and children over 12 years - Take 1 capsule daily, with food, or as directed by your health professional.

Good stuff, and did the job. Care needs to be taken with the timing of daily dose, AM early seems best. Dosage needs close attention as well. I found 2 capsules too much, so I settled on one.
