The vegan-friendly formula contains 400g of the inner stem bark powder of slippery elm which naturally contains mucilage that develops into a gel-like consistency once it comes into contact with water. Mucilage coats the mucous membranes of the digestive system helping to soothe irritated tissues. Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine, slippery elm soothes the gastro-intestinal tract’s mucous membranes and works as a nutritive tonic. Each capsule supports your digestive system health and soothes irritated tissues. Herbs of Gold Slippery Elm 400mg is free of artificial colourings, flavourings and preservatives. It is suitable for individuals with a vegetarian or vegan diet as it does not contain added egg, milk, peanut, corn, tree nut or animal products, yeast, gluten or lactose.
Each capsule contains:
- Slippery elm (Ulmus rubra) bark powder: 400mg.

Such a great product for those suffering from gastritis, GERD and other gastro ailments. I used this while coming off PPIs for relief of breakthrough reflux symptoms. It is super soothing and a great barrier for harsh stomach acid.
