Andrographis, a herb long used in traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda, plays an important part in this formula as it has been shown to help reduce the severity and duration of cold and flu symptoms. Another important component of Fusion Health Cold & Flu is a well-known herb called echinacea. Since the 18th century, echinacea has been used to treat symptoms of the common cold, ear infections and many other conditions. It is also known to minimize excess mucous and mild upper respiratory tract congestion and relieve symptoms of sore throat and mild fever. Other herbs added are Japanese catnip and forsythia, both of which are known to soothe a sore throat and relieve mild fever. Magnolia and balloonflower have been added to this formula as well to clear congested nasal passages.
